Why is a service-oriented approach so attractive?

Back

A service-oriented approach or now also called "servitization", which means that you can increase your sales without significant capital investments. Of course, this makes it very attractive for many companies in the manufacturing and other industries.

With new digital business models, lamp manufacturers are becoming lessors of light, machine manufacturers become solution providers and series producers open up new business fields. The benefit of  the skill is in the foreground. The focus is on the benefit oft h enablement. Make or buy decisions, lack of skills and resources have a decisive influence. Rent is more popular than ownership. Car sharing, car on demand, leasing of machines, means of transport and many models for e.g. Hard and Software are common practice.

Have you already implemented serviced models or are you planning?
